Both wine and perfume have transformative powers. A great wine can evoke a place, even a particular piece of ground, just as a great perfume can transform a person into a bouquet of flowers or the sea. Both stir conversation and debate and even stir strong emotions. And I guess that's my final answer to the question of whether wine and perfume can be enjoyed together: only in very small amounts.
